 I have an 04 Tahoe Z71... I am looking into getting an after market suspension. I do not want to lift or lower my 'hoe, i just want an aftermarket suspension. The problem is, I do not know what suspension my truck has right now. I know its not the electronic ride control but I am not sure if it has the Z55 Autoride Suspension Or Premium Smooth Ride Suspension. How can I tell what suspension my ride has?

As an add to my inquiry. Any recommendations on what shock absorbers i should put on my whip? I am looking for something that will be a well rounded ride in the city and still handle light off-roading (nothing to heavy, I only use the 4wd when i go snowboarding)

I hope i am right. If you have a Z71 package, then I would assume you would look for a Z71 kit.

forgive me as this is my firts tahoe.. but i am shopping for new shock absorbers because my truck rides like crap, and every place i have found mentions the Z71 with the following suspension options:: ZW7 Premium Smooth Ride Suspension, Self-Leveling Rear Suspension Nivomat, and Z55 Autoride Suspension... here is an example

http://www.replacementautoparts.com/unified/buy.php?make_text=chevy&model_text=tahoe&ml=taho-4{embeddash}door-006&year=2004&part_name=shock_absorber&brand_name=monroe&make_code=CV

Are these sites wrong?

I just want my 'hoe to ride smoother without hindering everything else.
