i have a factory nav in my 2007 Yukon. Everytime i start it the caution screen comes up - even if it has only been off for seconds. I have been in many other yukons, tahoes and they do not get the screen again until the vehicle has been off for minutes or hours. Whats up with mine?

ITS REALLY SAFE:smilielol:

No I think the newer ones stress this more, mine is just like yours. EVERY time the key is turned off it does this stupid screen, wish there was a way to get rid of it.

I have 2008 Yukon XL Denali.

I thought I read somewhere that the Caution screen appears every 50 startups, so for me it comes up about once a month.

I do not have to press OK every time I start the car. I do get the GMC/Bose splash screen.

I'll check to see if there is a setting or where I read this...

i have the 07 denali and it comes up every time.

must be a firmware/software upgrade. I wouldnt think it would be a different head unit from the 07, 08, 09. :confused2:

I have the 2008 Navigation System manual (not the big main one) in front of me.

Page 1-6;
Every fifty times the vehicle is started and the navigation system is turned on, the Caution screen appears. After reading the caution, select OK to load.....

Manual is p/n: 25794809 B Second Printing

It sure would be nice if the '07 folks can get it reprogrammed or something. The 'blue' screen everytime you start the vehicle would get old really quick.

Every 50 for me too. Did they really do this to 07s? I feel bad for you.

question on the 50 startups:
Are you guys leaving your unit in xm/radio mode or Nav mode?
if i have the nav mode on its ask everytime I turn on the truck
if i have the xm/radio mode on it just flashes the chevy screen

On the 2007, if you have it on anything other than NAV, the caution screen never comes on. This is fine by me because I don't usually use the Nav when I'm in town.

What is it cautioning you about? Lol

It's like "Clicking OK every time you start driving may cause an accident. Use caution when clicking OK" or some **** is my guess...
