Not sure about the wheel. Possibly a 22 x 9.5 is the max width you'd want for a rim. Also, I think 285/45/22 is the best overall tire size.

Nope, I haven't seen anyone with that setup. Unless you can find one heck of a deal, I would go aftermarket. If you can afford them, then go right ahead.

I have 305/40/22 tires on my Yukon XL and they have never rubbed once.

I'm running 305/40/22 as well. This is definitely the best tire size as its diameter is closest to stock. The only reason you would have rubbing is if you got wheels w/ the offset out of wack.

just got my 24's---rubbing and all.......

I just had 24" Gianelle Steep-6's put on my '07 (pics coming tomorrow)....tires are Pirelli 305-35-24....even though the overall diameter of the package is only slightly larger than my stock wheels (the polished 20's), I have slight rubbing issues, due to the extra width of this setup...the rubbing is only occuring at extreme turning radius, or medium turning while hitting a large bump (such as starting up a driveway)......oh well, I can live with it....have to program the Superchips tomorrow to calibrate the speedo for the larger setup....
