JUST SAW THIS IN ANOTHER FORUM, A Customer and a 4WP employee going at it

4lhtm0.jpg

YOU ARE BEYOND FOOLISH AND ARROGANT TO COME IN HERE Mr. 4wp employee

4WP tries so hard to be honorable.
YES BUT IF YOUR CORPORATION IS UNLAWFUL AND DECEPTIVE AS A WHOLE, THEN BY DEFINITION YOU ARE TAINTED AS WELL. YOUR POLICES AND PROCEDURES ARE 4WP

The Buy 3 get 1 free that we ofer every now and then, yes we put the price up to list price,
YES YOU DO, RAISING THE PRICE BEFORE A SALE IS DECEPTIVE

And as far as the used/new parts, that part should have been placed in test and rebox and if ever sold should be understood to the customer that the box has been opened/installed, it should not have been sold as new and the complaint needs to be made.
NON-SENSE, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY RETURNS YOU HAVE PER DAY NATIONWIDE??
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH LESS MONEY YOUR COMPANY WOULD MAKE IF IT DIDN'T RE-SELL USED PRODUCTS AS NEW?? ITS COMPANY POLICY

YOU NEED TO BE REALISTIC HERE AS YOU CANT disassociate YOURSELF FROM THE UNLAWFUL AND DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES OF YOUR COMPANY.

YOUR BOSS GREG W ADLER NEEDS TO COME CLEAN, AS HE WAS WAS INVOLVED IN THIS FROM DAY ONE, TRASHED A BRAND NEW VEHICLE, DESTROYED IT AND SAID F' OFF, "We have unlimited resources to crush you."

I feel for anyone that had a bad experience but out of 60+ stores and 100s of transactions a day for each there are going to be issues, I've never fvcked over a customer and our shop is rated A.

Trust the shop you take your truck to and they'll take care of you. I still think it's hilarious the first thing I see under your post is an ad for pro comp suspension :smilielol:

THIS IS FROM A JEEP WEBSITE

The Reader's Digest version is I have a 2008 Unlimited Rubicon.. I bought and had installed at 4WP in Miami

The major stuff
- Pro Comp Long Arm Lift and all that goes with that which is a list in its self
- J.E. Reel 1350HD shafts front and rear
- 37" Mud Grapplers Plus Rims and spacers
- 5.13 Gears
-Fox Steering Stabilizer

The parts above alone cost over 10k

Plus so many other "little" things I can't even begin to list... the receipts I can actually find surpass 15k.

What was done wrong...

-They "Lost" 2 of my factory Rubi Shocks and tried to pass off 2 "X" shocks as the ones they took off. Rubi shocks are red, X shocks are white.

-My rear track bar was put on backwards

-When lift was installed I asked to have my breathers extended.. the rear was put actually lower than the stock height and the front wasn't touched.

-One of my Fox Shocks FELL off

-Tires rubbed on control arms... that's when it was discovered I need spacers.

-Rear Spring was hitting the track bar.. I brought it to them to FIX... see below

-Developed a horrible noise the day I got it back from having 5.13's installed. After 3 days of "diagnosing" was told it was my transfer case. I had 3k on the odometer. This sparked the end of the relationship with me and 4WP. I even prepared my lawyer for a suite because after all my mods Jeep would laugh at me for trying to warranty a T-Case. It was also when I brought it to them for the gears that we noticed my rig was drooping rather severely on the right rear corner.

- Because of the "transfer case noise" it ruined plans, and had me all stressed out. I called Tranny Doc about it and was going to have it TOWED to his shop from Miami. Before going through all that I hooked up with ROCO4X4 as they are a few miles from my home. Turns out the right rear control arm was loose... REAL LOOSE and was basically causing a suspension noise that was telescoping through the rig and out of the T-case. ROCO took less than a day to figure it out.

- I had 4WP warranty me out a set of rear springs as it was thought I had a sagging spring on the right rear. When new springs were installed it still sagged. After further investigation it turns out that SOMEONE had shortened the right rear control arm pulling the right side of the axle forward to get the spring to not hit the track bar . The track bar was also cranked way down and the front left spring was not seated in the perch but riding on it. Basically my rig's suspension was being pulled and stressed so badly that it was collapsing the right rear spring. To fix all this they pretty much just reinstalled my lift correctly relieving the suspension of the stress and now my rig sits perfectly level and rides awesome... the rear wheels are actually behind the fronts!

At the end of the day and to their credit 4Wheel Parts refunded a little over $600.00 to me. Small change for well into 5 digits I've spent there and the aggravation of it all. Not only that, I've spent what they returned to me in towing and what I had to pay ROCO4X4 to straighten the mess out.

I am now so worried about how they may have installed my 5.13's I am actually awaiting the "BANG!" going down the highway.

Until they get a journeymen mechanic in there who knows WTF he is doing, I wouldn't let them put air in my tires.

Not sure what to say. I'm not trying to defend 4wp if they fvcked up but I've had some issues with installs and we always took care of the customer to the fullest extent (paying for a tow, replacing parts no charge, installing additional parts for free). You have to remember how huge the company is and alot of people in this industry are trying to get a handout. This in no way disqualifies a loyal paying customer from good service. That dude with the messed up JK had his stuff installed at the miami gardens store? That is a brand new shop and I don't know why the store isn't having another place go through the tcase for him. I did gears and long arm on an older rubi and the tcase output yoke was bent before we even installed the kit and parts. After install there was a noticeable vibration so we took it to a local shop that builds our shafts and had them fix it, no charge to customer because he already dropped over $10k. I figured it was the least we could do and it is unfortunate that more places don't maintain similar business practices. I can't wait to finish school and get a good career going but I've developed countless relationships with customers and built 100s of trucks without any problems. Hell most of us with jeeps hit the trails with customers, helping out when someone breaks a part or needs advice. Really is a catch 22 with alot of installs and I don't think many of them should have passed the service manager. There is no excuse for alot of this sh*t. We follow a strict pre-delivery inspection on any major install and it honestly shouldn't have gotten past the tech doing the work. Mistakes on a customer's truck are a HUGE safety issue. I don't want to put anyone's family or friends in jeopardy just because a tech decided to cut corners. I'm not sure where to draw the line between legitimate issues that should have been addressed and people who had a common issue with something complaining until they get a handout. I've had so many people try to screw us over, it really is sad when you can't trust people and it really leaves a sour taste when you put forth the effort to do your job and someone tries to walk all over you. I love building trucks everyday and, without hesitation, can trust every one of my mechanics with my personal vehicles. I wish the same could be said for every shop everywhere and it really pisses me off when this crap goes down :mad2:

BTW alot of your information is either incorrect or pretty old (2002-2005). Your presumed $38.5mil settlement isn't even related to 4wp, it has direct correlation to a brokerage house that is no longer in business and is even noted in the article you linked:

That operation landed the firm in legal trouble when one of its clearing clients, the brokerage firm A. R. Baron & Company, was charged with defrauding investors in thinly traded stocks. In the summer, Bear Stearns agreed to pay $38.5 million to settle charges filed against it for its role in clearing the fraudulent trades of Baron, which is now defunct.

I'm sure there are plenty of valid complaints, I just think this is a bit outlandish with the pictures of Tuco and what not.

What's relevant is the paper trail and the multiple State Violations, specifically but not limited to, "False & Misleading Statements."

What's relevant is the constant violation of the Business & Professions Code.

What's relevant is the District Attorneys Office issuing the statement, "Raises Questions of Unlawful & Deceptive Business Practices."

What's relevant is the repeated failure to honor the "No Questions Asked Tire Warranty."
As Federal Databases are now littered with these complaints of which in time will constitute a
response from the Office of Attorney General.

What's relevant is 4WP keeps on butchering new trucks by 19 year old mechanics who come to work late and drunk.

In addition, the Jeep improper install and failure to correct the problem in Florida shows a clear pattern of company policy of issuing the following statement when destroying a customers vehicle.

This is how 4WP responds if they completely mess up your 4x4

As 4 Wheel Parts did sell after market parts/labor to the consumer. 4 Wheel Parts has no credible evidence that the parts/labor provided were improper and/or not of the highest quality. We have tried to work with Mr. Customer on several occasions with the alleged problems he is encountering, but to no avail.

This is how Customers should respond back in kind

As 4 Wheel Parts did provide labor and after market parts that were at (above) what was the original agreed upon price. The parts were improperly installed by low wage, novice mechanics. Resulting for the parts to make contact with other suspension components and vital equipment used in stopping the vehicle. This improper installation has lead to inadvertent component contact and may lead to complete unit failure resulting in injury and/or death of vehicle occupants.

Furthermore, it is 4 Wheel Parts well established common business practice to sell used/returned equipment as new, add Totally Unauthorized Warranties to the Invoice, engage in Unlawful and Deceptive Business Practices by adding hidden and/or additional fees, handling fees with respect to Free Shipping and other Advertisements

5v85du.jpg

It is 4WP nationwide policy to hire inexperienced 19 year olds
to learn on your $40,000 rig............that's why 4WP will destroy a new vehicle every 6 to 8 months

another botch job from another forum......

They've got a history of duping unsuspecting customers. I was in the Escondido 4WP store this past January and listened to some poor kid bitching about the Fabtech install they had botched. They put in extra parts the guy hadn't ordered and then billed him for the install. Of course, they wanted more $$$ to take the parts out. They're ****birds, IMO

I kind of understand your concern but you can't put a blanket label on a nationwide chain when certain store have had issues, thats like saying all NAPA stores are comprised of worthless retards because 50 people from 50 cities filed complaints about the wrong parts. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that we aren't all "sh*tbirds" because I wouldn't have a job and all these people would be rolling stock trucks:

VORTEC stopped selling superchargers and stopped advertising with 4WP after the truck was destroyed and not repaired. What you dont know is that 4WP caused the State Investigator to subpoena of all sales records between Vortech and 4WP and a facility inspection from the State.

feqhvr.jpg

General Motors got involved......ANYBODY SEE AN 12,000 LIFT KIT
Power Chevrolet no longer does business with 4WP due to parts fraud, for idler arm fraudulent warranty returns. 4WP caused the State to subpoena of all sales records between Power Chevrolet and 4WP and a facility inspection from the State.

Ford got involved........for idler arm fraudulent warranty returns

Enterprise Rental car got involved for 4WP EMPLOYEES SWAPING PARTS

2enrpk3.jpg

UPS got involved for misuse of its logos, yes thats the ups girl from the porno. False advertising with respect to UPS, as it came by the lowest bidder and not by UPS.

The office of Attorney General got involved,
The Office of the District Attorney got involved

Your company is prohibited from displaying the UPS logo as i looked last

Your company is prohibited from displaying the BBB Logo on your website

There's another 10 companies that got in trouble as well

4WP GOT CAUGHT DOING SOME VERY BAD THINGS ON SO MANY LEVELS

The persona displayed that 4WP is too big and bad failed........nobody is ever too big to get busted for engaging in Unlawful and Deceptive Business Practices

Your Pro Comp Tires are made by the 3rd rate Cooper Tire Company

4WP tire warranty no longer applies to tires over 33 inches, unless you bought it before they changed their policy

UNDER NORMAL AND OFF ROAD CONDITIONS, that means they can deny warranty at anytime.

So how is this a NO QUESTIONS TIRE WARRANTY??? ITS NOT

Dude your stories have more holes than swiss cheese and you're starting to live up to your name. I just warranteed a 37" xterrain that a customer shredded up at carnage canyon in boulder. I have never denied a valid claim for a tire warranty and have even shipped tires in at no charge because they were out of stock. Cooper makes awesome tires and I run them on my personal vehicles as well as many others on this site without any issues. They balance quite well and both the all terrains have treadwear warranties. Pro Comp suspension is also the only company that went so far as to certify their lift for safety testing on the GMT900 trucks but I'm certain you missed that in your research along with countless other information. I'm not sure if you were really hosed by a shop or what happened to cause so much spite toward the company. Vortech is still a vendor and we continue to sell their kits, I even quoted a guy on an install for his silvy last week and I'm getting him setup with a good base tune and some dyno time with a local shop if he goes through with the install. This is all getting a little ridiculous and I think we've all seen enough bogus information lately with all the campaign ads. I'm sure you'll just follow this up with another excerpt from some guy getting a nail in his tire and a reference to some paper filed in 2004 citing 4wp for misleading advertising for a product they no longer carry. I'm done with this mess, you can slander away for 10 pages if you want and it still won't make a whole lot of sense to anyone bro. I will shamefully walk away from this thread and hang my head in remorse from being an employee of 4wp. Congratulations you have won another

My personal experience with 4WP was been very unpleasent. I ordered a set of wheels & tires (6.5inch wheels pattern, 6 lug, 4.5 inch backspacing). they sent me the wrong ones (5 lug and 4.5 inch wheel pattern). I called them up and they quickly sent the Fed-Ex guy back to pick the tires up. So I waited a week and called them up to inquire about my order. they told me they were going to ship them out in two days. I called three days later and they told me it was going to be 2 days before they were going to ship them out. I once again waited about 3 days and called them back again they told it going to be 2 days. it's been almost 2 weeks of them telling its going to be 2 days before they ship. I got fed up asked for my money back but they still charged me for shipping. which called to get refunded also but they hung up on me. I will never do business with four wheels parts. Plus I dont like that they always try to sell you thier "store brand" procomp stuff. ( if I want BFG's that does not mean I want Procomp tires)

For all my four wheel stuff I go Desert Rat it's a "local" shop and I've done many transacation with them and I've had zero compliants.
