No sound from OEM radio (faint clicking from speakers)

I have been having a problem lately when I will start my Tahoe up and there will be no sound from the stereo. It doesn't matter if I am on XM, FM or a CD. I do hear a very faint click click click from the speakers. However, if I shut the vehicle off for awhile and come back the stereo will work again. If I turn the radio off while the truck is running and turn the radio back on, there is still no sound. I have since disconnected my JL amp thinking that was the problem, but it made no difference. Any help would be appreciated. I am thinking maybe the stock HU is on its way out? Or could it possibly be the Bose amp? This happens about once a week and only occurs when I open using the remote.
