Hi everybody:

I'm new here.

Bought a used 2000 Tahoe with a 5.7L engine. It's got 4 wheel drive and all the other towing options and off road skid plates, etc.

Is there any where I can go on the net (or elsewhere) to find out what my rear end ratio is?

It would be nice if by providing the VIN number one could check out how the Tahoe was originally built. It didn't come with the dealer sticker so there is no info on it.

Thanks!

Check the glove box door. There should be a sticker on the inside of the door. Look for GT4 = 3.73 or GT5 = 4.10. These two I know for sure.
