Any help would be deeply appreciated, dont wanna get taken to the bank, he is asking 5600 with 122000 miles on it and in good shape.

Ask the owner to do one for you since he's selling it.

Carfax is a complete joke! I have a vehicle that was involved in a major accident almost two years ago. Over 14k in damage. Police report, Insurance paid, Reputable local body shop. Yet when I checked the vin via Carfax it still doesn't show any accidents. About the only thing it is good for is verifying mileage and ownership changes. I checked other vehicles that friends owned that were involved in accidents and found the same results.
