i've got a 2000 tahoe 5.7 350, currently i've got 305/70/16. i feel that it runs quite strong still, but can i run 315's with the stock gears that are in it?
stock gears with 35's??

373, how much do you thing it would lower the gas mileage, as it is i'm only getting around 10

Regear. I have a strong motor in mine and it is a bit on teh sluggish side with 35's and 3.73 gears. I am going to swap to a 4.56 or 4.88...leaning towards the 4.88

I run stock gears with 315s on mine. Its doable, its going to put more strain on your transmission though. My gas mileage is about 9-10 MPG city, now on the highway though i can hold 85 all day long and get about 14.

well i have a feeling my gas mileage is gonna go down to bout 7-8 city beacuse with the 305's i have now im only getting 10 at best city, also there not even that wide/heavy of a tire.

on 3.73 gears with my 35s I get about 8.5 right now...keep in mind when I am geared properly I only get 12-12.5 though. If I wanted good gas milage I'd drive some little tiny honda or something...I prefer loud, big and well big.

I would re-gear, unless you want to burn up your transmission soon.
