good, mid-priced subwoofer?

anyone know of a good sounding, not too expensive subwoofer to put in a box and throw in the trunk? my LT2 has the stock sound system and i don't have the money to throw into a whole new sound system. unfortunately the stock system is pretty brutal. but, i really want to boost the bass noise.
