towing with bigger tires?

i have a stock tahoe now and im ready to do keys and spacers but ive read on this forum somewhere that with 285 the shift points get messed up. How much of a difference do u see between the 265s and the 285s?

it's just a little bit bigger than stock size, mine may have changed a lil but not too noticeable. i still tow with mine, just be sure to get the right load rating if you tow alot.
