anyone have any experience charging a cap, i can't remember if im supposed to use a 1 ohm resistor or .5 ohm....?????

If you have a test light or 12v bulb handy, you can use it in SERIES. The filament will light up from the high amount of current passing through it then start to dim once the cap starts to charge. Once the light goes out, the cap is fully charged. This will also give you a visual confirmation of the charge status, unlike using a resistor.

what if i put the resistor in the inline fuse holder, and put my multimeter on the cap...it should slowly climb up to 12-14 volts right?
