Thieves will try to steal the 3rd row seat and it as about $3000 to replace, then they can sell them at a swap meet. The best thing to do is in grave you're vin # on them and pull them out when not in use.

Hmm... Maybe that's why I see so many of these on Craigslist.org in my area.

If I've got them installed I take the time to back into a space that restricts opening of the rear hatch. Just to slow them down or deterr the theives. Other wise, leave them out while not in use.

how would I engrave my vin# ? where?

I'd engrave it along one of the rails underneath the seat, but somewhere that is hard to see. You can use an engraver from a hobby shop.
