hey all,

forgive me if this has been discussed already, but i couldn't find anything while searching.

i need new tires for my '03 z71 tahoe. i'd like to go with bigger tires on the stock rims, but the tire guys all tell me that they'll rub. i see tahoes all the time with 22's and 24's and i'm sure they stand taller and wider than stock.

so, if i go up a size (keeping the 17" rims) will they rub? is there a way around this?

thanks much,

tom

You can fit 285/70R/17 (33x11.50) without any rubbing on a stock height Tahoe. That's what size is currrently on my Tahoe. You could also crank your torsion bars up for a little more clearance if you like.
