there should be a twist in socket from the back of the bumper. Just turn it and pull straight out. Kinda tough to get to with a tow package...

The 194's are the wedge-base, so you should be able to do LED's as a direct-swap. Anyone know if it's illegal to run colored-license plate bulbs?

I don't believe there's a federal statue, therefore, it will depend directly on State and local laws.

Illegal to run colored bulbs

Which means, it's all up to how good of a talker you are to get out of the ticket! :cool2:

Yes it is Illegal, you can't run red or blue lights on the front or back. Now green purple and others are still Illegal but depending on the officer he might let you slide. Now me on the other hand I wouldn't bother you it's not a big deal to me because it's not hurting anyone. But if you had red or blue flashers on your car you could be charged with impersonating a police officer.
Hope this helps

around here if you can see the bulb (which you could on the plate lights) its illegal.

Now i used to have a car (that was a show car in progress that was never finished), with a grand worth of strobes and neon/LED's on it. never had a problem with the cops. but the G/F got pulled over a little while back for having a purple plate ring. the cop told her the law states the license plate lights are required to be white. (even though the ring made the plate MUCH easier to read)

Anyone have a good link for dash/plate/signal LED's?
