2000 Tahoe tire options

I have a stock 2000 Tahoe with 17" aftermarket wheels and tires. I am currently running 265/70/17 BFG All Terrains. What is the biggest tire I can get under without a lift?

Can you gain some height with different shocks or springs? Don't want to do a full suspention lift. Any suggestions?

i currently have 285 70 17 firestone all terrain tires on my 01 tahoe that i order off tirerack with the wheels that i bought and i dont any lift of any kind and they fit nicely without rubbing at all. if you need more info on the tires let me know.
