Amp Turn-On wire

im new to this forum, and need some help. i just took the alpine cd deck out of my other car and put it in my 99' tahoe...but, the only wire that i couldnt find was the amp turn-on wire(blue/white). so, i connected the power antenna wire(blue) to my alpine. does anyone know what i can use as the amp turn-on wire once i connect an amp? thanks for the help.

Wouldn't you just run a wire from the amp to the remote turn on wire on the aftermarket deck?

you'll have to run your amp signal cables, just run a wire from the blue/white wire on your deck to your amp.

thanks, thats what i was thinking. at least its not hard to pop the dash cluster bezel on/off!

that website gives you the wire color chart for our tahoes on page 7

it was particularly useful when replacing my rear roof speakers. i was at a loss for which one is the +/- cuz they are brown and yellow not red/black.
