97 Tahoe oil pressure gauge going wacky....

Anyone know why my oil press. gauge is fluctuainting everynow and they? is this a sign of something needing to be replaced? Help me out please:wow:

My obs 00 limited did the same thing, replaced the sender and it was resolved. I would dump the money on other stuff tho, senders are notorious for going out and you won't have a low oil pressure issue with the L31 vortec.

What is the name of the sender im replacing? Is it a oil pressure sender? help me out so I can order the part and get rid of this annoying thing. thanks
