Hi guys and girls, first post here. I have a 99 tahoe 4 door that keeps getting wet carpet in the very rear. I pulled all of the plastic out in the rear compartment to get a better look at the situation. The carpet padding is damp and the trough at the very rear is puddled with standing water. It does have rear ac but it is dry around that area. Rear seal? TIA

option a:

if u take it to a dealer/professional shop they will use a smoke machine to test the gaskets. plug it up inside, turn it on, and close all doors/windows (after getting out). bingo u found yer leak!

option b:

buy a 1/4 bag of weed. roll 4 blunts. call 3 friends. smoke blunts inside with ignition off, doors/windows/ac vents closed. hop out and close the doors quick. look for smoke coming out by rear passenger side. lol

have you tried removing inner panels and them wetting outside of truck down? if not start at side window with someone else in vehicle, then move to door area, the only other option is tire spray thru wheel well/rear a/c gromets.
