Anyone ever here of a 1 year only trans. for 95'

I just bought a 1995 Yukon with a cracked trans case. I have not brought it home yet. But the seller mentioned to me that a trans shop told him it was a rare trans only used in 1995? Anyone ever here of that?

never heard anything like that myself, i have a 95 yukon 2wd with 172k miles and im about to replace my tranny too i know its a 4l60e. yor tranny should be the same as mines.

yea every tahoe i ever heard of has a 4L60e, be sure u get one with an updated valve body so it doesn't tear itself apart prematurely

I have a 95 Tahoe and just changed the tranny a 185K its a 4l60e and that is the way they all are. As far as I know anyway.
