1995 power seat problem

I have a 1995 4 door, 4 wheel drive Tahoe with a power driver seat. Today the seat quit going forward or backward, but still goes up and down. It makes a buzzing sound when you push the switch forward or backwards. Almost sounds like gears are stripped inside. Anybody had this same problem and if so is it the motor itself? Thanks.

The gears are usually pretty tough.
If mechanicaly inclined, take the motor out and test it.

Nothing, I bought some seats out of a 1999 Denali and put in it.
