I just bought an 07 Tahoe LTZ with autoride and am trying to drop the rear for leveling purposes... it got me thinking - would it be possible to simply modify the linkage rods so it doesn't pump up as much, but remain on stock rear springs?

Call me crazy...

You're not crazy, but you're not correct, either. lol

You've got to drop the rear @ 2" to level the truck. I've been through it all, and recently LIFTED the front of the truck 1" with the ReadyLift adjustable kit. I think the truck looks great now, and no more screwing with the autoride links.
