2004 Tahoe - Location of Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid

2004 Tahoe LS 4WD

Failed emissions. Codes indicate gas cap and evap leaks. Replaced gas cap with OEM. Purchased:

ACDelco 214-2149 Professional Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid




Put the truck up on ramps and looked all around the rear axle and gas tank. Also looked around the front of the gas tank as best I could. I cannot find this thing. Anyone know where it's located? I think I'm going crazy.

My old one was rectangular. Replaced it with new round one and the code is gone. No more check engine light. For some reason, the EVAP still reads NOT READY after many cycles, but whatever... it passed emissions.
