What year Tahoe to buy?

I have been looking into the market of buying a Tahoe, or Yukon. I like the styling of the 07 up, but I want reliability more than anything. I would like to keep the price below 17,000. Any info as to what to stay away from or the best one to get will be appreciated. I plan to do some pulling with it. What kind of fuel mileage should I expect? I am a Mercedes Benz tech and not scared of doing any work on it. I would rather not if I don't have to. Should I stick with the pre 07 model, as I have found that manufactures usually work out the kinks on the last production year.

I think that between the 00-06 model and the 07+ model, either way you will have a reliable and very capable truck for towing. It just depends on which body style you prefer.
