Looking to get a Tahoe; need suggestions.

Hey everybody, nice forum you all have going here and looks like there's a lot o good information. I currently have a 2012 Chevy Cruze, which I really like. However I want to get a second vehicle to drive in the bad winter weather, and be able to get up my driveway. I want to get a Tahoe, and probably won't purchase until the end of October or beginning of November. I'm looking at 98 & 99 model years, and something with higher miles as I want to keep the cost around 4k (and this isn't going to be my primary daily driver).
What should I look for on vehicles that age, and with mileage in the mid to upper 100k's? Thank you all in advance for your suggestions.
