Looking for help in remove/replace of the driver's side outside mirror of my 2007 Tahoe. VIN last 8 = 7R138610 and the build sheet code = "DL8-Dual PWR Heated OSRV Mirrors".

(4) Can I pop off the painted mirror cap of the old mirror and put on replacement mirror to save a painting step? + Removal/installation instructions for this step.
