While it appears to be not so easy, with some coaching, the front air dam of a hybrid tahoe is actually not a real chore. And removing it before heading off road at all is a must.
Challenges? The fasteners are upside down from what an owner would want , where to apply force to pry it off isn't so intuitive, And the corner screws have to be taken our with a wrench , 1/4 turn at a time. Not so user friendly

To remove, go underneath and start with the 6 factory screws ( 7mm or 9/32) , slip off & save the captive flat nuts. Now go around front , pull out on the top of black plastic dam and look down to where the slats fit through the bumper - gently pry using a flat screwdriver blade. The plastic dam comes out little by little - It does not just pop off. Work your way around all 8 slats ( 4 each side) and it will slip off.

To reinstall, use soft rubber hammer to tap on the area of the slats to get them engaged. Use the hardware you took off, BUT put the flat nuts on the other side you can drive the screws in from the bottom - much easier now to remove and replace . I have pics of a few operations and all the tools it took
