Navigation or Onstar

I have the Navigation icon on my screen in my Tahoe, but when I click it the screen wants me to call Onstar. Do I have to call Onstar every time I want directions or am I missing something?

It means you did not get a Tahoe that has Chevy Mylink with Navigation (dedicated navigation). This option is either by itself for $500 or with the Sun, destinations and entertainment package. So, the only way you can get navigation is through Onstar Turn by turn navigation.

Navigation upgrade

Can a MyLynk upgrade be done to add Navigation in addition to Onstar turn by turn?

It's really quite expensive.
