where to cut help for double din radio

has anyone installed a double din in there 97 2 door Tahoe i got it all wired up im just not sure or can see where to cut in the back...i no bezal i have cut the bar between heat control an factory radio just not sure about the back of were to cut im tryin to install a pioneer avh-p3300BT in so anyone with ome help would be great or if u no a site i can use or soe pics anything thx for the help in advanced

I have a AVH-x2600bt in my 98 Sierra... I cut the top of the radio box out and didnt mess with the HVAC controls... I had to use a Sawzall very carefully to nuke a few pieces then I had plenty of vertical clearance for my Double Din....

thx i got it to install with no cuttin of dash or movein heat unit or anything just some cutting of A radio box n used stock radio clips n worked great for me

Here how looks no cutting done to radio box or dash just a costom cut bracket kit n to the bezal

Here how looks no cutting done to radio box or dash just a costom cut bracket kit n to the bezal OO N TOOK OUT CD PLAYER MAKEING THAT A CUBBY HOLE HEAT UNIT NOT MOVED ALSO

Nice.... Mine sits a little higher and only cut a notch in the upper half of the radio hole....

Ook that kool this was my frist double din iv ever dont used factory clips on a regular after market radIo n worked better then i thought but im hapoy i got it tho

I did mine if u want it to sit perfectly ur gonna have cut a lot, i used the detail ss kit the instructions gives u a guide on what to cut and not cut.
