Is there a way to adjust POWER LIFTGATE???

When the LTZ Suburban is in the garage and you hit the button to open liftgate it will hit the garage door and then come back down. Luckily I noticed it before it did any damage and stopped it manually, but this is a big problem as I just spent thousands getting the smaller garage re-done to fit the suburban so I can have my garage back to myself

Is there a way to adjust how high the power liftgate rises?

I doubt there is unless you were to take apart the mechanism and somehow re rig it.
