You will have minmal rubbing in the rear depending on the offset. I am running 295 35 24 and the diff is not much.

tire 1 being mine 295 35 24 (i have a 2/3 drop) tire 2 your 285 45 22

Totals are in inches Tire 1 Tire 2 Difference

1 2
Sidewall Height: 4.06 5.05
Section Width: 11.61 11.22
Overall Diameter: 32.13 32.10
Circumference: 100.94 100.84

You should be OK. I have minmal rubbing on the rear only when turing and getting body roll.

Good luck.

You should not rub very much at all. I had no rubbing with my 22's on bags...I had 265/40/22 so they were a little smaller , but I can do u turns and up driveways no problem.

Rubbing is fairly common and easy to resolve by some minor trimming. Most of the rubbing will occur, if you do have it, on the rears on hard cornering. Also it is important to get the correct wheel offsets to help reduce it.

Running 265's on your vehicle puts the tire load range way under GM specs. you should not do that! These vehicles are heavy and need a strong tire.

For minor rubbing, you can use a heat gun and reshape the fender liner.

FYI- I trimmed out a little of the rear fender- running 24's now no rubbing in the rear, also have the 2/2 (really 2/ 2.7 eiback drop).
