Hi Guys,

Based on what I've read, I am after an '07 'Hoe with 4.10 gears instead of the 3.73. Can anyone tell me if I can tell the axle ratio by looking at the VIN?

Thanks.

New or used

If it a new one it will be on the window sticker. If used it should be inside the glove box. You will have to figure out which code # it is though.

Sorry...should've been more clear.

I am after a slightly used '07 Tahoe. On eBay and AutoTrader, they sometimes give the axle ratio but always give the VIN, so I was hoping to decipher the code.

Thanks.

No way to tell from the vin only the glove box RPO codes
GT4 = 3.73 (most common with the 4 x4)
Gt5 = 4.10
GU5 = 3.23
GU6 = 3.42
