P1402 EGR Metering Orifice Restricted

Does anybody know what could be causing this code. The EGR valve is only about 2 months old. When I drive on the freeway now it feels like it wants to cut off, and then this code showed up???

One thing that can cause this code is an open or short circuit to the EEGR valve. Check your wiring harness.
