Hard Crank..

ok guys hers the deal.. i bought an 01 LT w. the 5.3 it has about 120K miles.. everything seems to great except some times i get a hard crank.. i have a buddy that has an 04 and he has teh same problem.. which i found out 2night.. im thinken it could be the batt. or spark plugs.. but the starter is turning.. and the motor is tryen to crank.. i just takes a few secs.. its not just a crisp start.. but then other times its right on..

Have you checked your fuel supply? First check would be for a stopped up fuel filter. Next check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail to see if the fuel pump and pressure regulator are up to spec.
