Amp Location in a 97 hoe

Ok Ive read the forum for a few days now and I still dont know is the factory installed amp in the bottom of the center console?? Ive also read something about near the break pedel... In the book it says and I quote this "step 1:locate the amp...." which was was no $^&*ing help at all!! goping someone can help me before my hubby desides to go looking for it!!! Thanks
