Well, "dealer" and "don't wanna spend a lot of money" really don't go together. But if anyone else is experiencing a misfire at idle, here is a synopsis to my next steps.

I originally went with a 22" Malano 735B when I first lowered the Tahoe. 2nd set (for 6 months now) are Elite Carnal, which have a massive chrome lip.....I'm good for now. Hope the pics posted (I'm a newbie here)...if not, check my album. Good Luck!

Yes...I "scalped" my Tahoe about a year ago. After removal of the racks which was straight forward and easy, I: 1) used allen head threaded inserts to fill the existing bolt holes, 2) painted the insert heads black to match paint...and 3) topped off with a thin coat of clear silicon sealer...
