Thanks for the tips, I'll have to analys. Most likely its the lifters, I can quite them down slightly by adding thicker oil but the ticking returns fater 2,000 miles. Probably have to bite the bullet and replace the lifters. Not cheap!

Thats correct basicaly Adjust to were theres no play on the push rod and do .25 turn on the rocker arm nut and thats it. The ticking is not always there though, you would think that if there was a rocker arm not adjusted properly it would always tick. Might just have lifters replaced.

Guys , how annoying is a noisy lifter. I've had my 1999 2door/2wd tahoe for almost a year and cant get rid off the ticking. The ticking is always there but when it's heard it pertty annooying and embarrising. Being that they are hydraulic lifters can they still be adjusted.

Thats the first thing I checked. I just figured out that my lights actually work maually (dash switch). I can live with that. Thanks guys.

Headlight issue Your right. I think the circuit that enables my headlights to be night or day just went out, both might headlight/high beams work manually of the dash rottary switch. Just have locate the circuit. Thanks.

tail light shading :thumbsup: I use clear coat and add a little black base coat but the main technique is the prep work and of course the spraying. You want to make sure your surface is fully degrease . I use an adhision promoter ( bulldog adhesion promoter):Chevy:

Hi, guys new to this forum. I have a 1999 2 door chevy tahoe that has the auto lights that comeon during the day. Well now they dont come on at all the hughs work fine, suspect the main circuit that enables them to turn out bad. Doesn any body know were I could locate this circuit.
