    How to purge brakes

David, Bleeding the brakes is pretty simple and you wont need any of the the above mentioned that you were told. What you will need is an open end wrench (size of the bleeder), brake fluid, and another person. If you dont want brake fluid all over you can also cut a small piece of hose to...

    Torsion Bars

What did you add to it for weight? Also, I just put 2 inch lift blocks in the back of my '97, and now I'm trying to get the front end up a little bit also... how many turns has anyone cranked the bars up to level it off? I don't want to lift the whole thing I just want to get a little height...

    '97 Tahoe

I'd say you need to put some new pads on and bleed the lines real good. Mine are a little soft too, I've have got in the habbit of just pumping the pedal once before I start breaking. Andy

    '97 Tahoe

My 97 has a 32 gallon fuel tank... Hockeyhauler is right... the way the rear door is shaped prevents the window from going furthur... As for the breaks I'd agree with bleeding them, or they could need some new pads... do they squeak at all? Andy

    Day Time Running Lights

I pulled the fuse on my '97... I can't remember of the top of my head which fuse it was but its marked in the manual DRL something. The lights themself will be turned off but the green day time running light marker on your instrument panel will still be lit up. Andy

    99 Starting Issues

My '97 would not start this last weekend when I was leaving for school... first thing I looked at was the distributor cap and rotor. Sure enough it was all corroded inside. I'm pretty sure that the cap just wasn't seated right and got moisture in there... so that would be my advice to you guys...

    leaf springs

I'm not for sure but it could be the the leaf spring clamps are junk... the leaf spring bumpers are between the rearend and the leaf spring so they could be worn to, causing the rearend to shift a little when completing a stop or taking off. Either one of these could be done in you own driveway...
