I am having problems with my brakes. They have been completely re-done a year ago and I am having problems with the back wheels wanting to lock up and the pedal goes down with SUPER ease...then sometimes it wont do that. I replaced the master cylinder...same thing. No leaks...any others have...
when i tilt my wheel, my headlights(not DTRL) will go out. i have wiggled wires on the column and cannot get the same results. i have tried to wiggle the headlight switch but that doesnt trigger it either. if the column is all the way up,they go out and when i put the wheel all the way down,they...
yea, everything is fine there too. i noticed it when i was at a mcdonalds drive thru, every two feet or so when goin about 3 mph there was a "click"..like a ball bearing being dropped on steel...weird!!
ya know, i recently bought a 98 tahoe and mine does the same exact thing. i haven't tried to replace anything but i would be curious as to how to fix it too
not a brake issue, i checked them and even replaced them all..front to back. changed front bearings, trans mount and even took the rear axles out and checked the diff. nothing! no exhaust rubbing...no nothing! im just waiting for something to fall off or blow then i will know what it was.
yeah, i checked them all and they are all tight. im stumped...i just figure i will see if it gets worse or just fails THEN i will know where it is!! haha
well, i know this isn't much help but the best i can say is to get a circuit tester and make sure you are getting 12v to the bulbs AND make sure you are getting a good ground. start there then see where you are at. it might be something as simple as your fog light switch being bad...or a host of...
I have had a whirring sound that comes mostly on decceleration and when my Tahoe suspension rebounds. I replaced all bearings and brakes..no dice. Fluids are up, trans and t-case function fine. I think its related to when I power of deccel. Its like an axle is rubbing on something ever so...
Thank you!! Are they all the same transfer case? I can read the model number off of mine(cant think of it off the top of my head) but it didnt match with any onf the ones that my haynes manual stated should be in that year tahoe. Ive seen haynes be wrong before so that's why I asked someone in...
Anyone know what the capcity for the transfer case is? I would use the method of judging by the fill hole but the previous owner or maybe even before him has the fill hole plug soooo mangled it would be impossible to get it out. There is another plug up a little higher on the pass. side that I...
well, it aint the front hub bearings or anything in the brakes...replaced em all just a lil bit ago. i cant see anything rubbing so im wondering if maybe a bearing in the rear end or maybe even a worn trans/or trans case mount causing the noise...im stumped!
