I have a 98 tahoe and when I was trying to lift the bottom seat by the latch, it broke. So, how do I get it open now so I can replace the mechanism??

yea, everything is fine there too. i noticed it when i was at a mcdonalds drive thru, every two feet or so when goin about 3 mph there was a "click"..like a ball bearing being dropped on steel...weird!!

no, cuz it does it when i have the truck in the air and rotate the rear drive shaft. kinda hard to describe it...

i know mine cant be the only truck that does it but what is that clicking noise most heard when going slow and by a wall such as drive-thru??

ya know, i recently bought a 98 tahoe and mine does the same exact thing. i haven't tried to replace anything but i would be curious as to how to fix it too

not a brake issue, i checked them and even replaced them all..front to back. changed front bearings,trans mount and even took the rear axles out and checked the diff. nothing! no exhaust rubbing...no nothing! im just waiting for something to fall off or blow then i will know what it was.

yeah, i checked them all and they are all tight. im stumped...i just figure i will see if it gets worse or just fails THEN i will know where it is!! haha

well, i know this isn't much help but the best i can say is to get a circuit tester and make sure you are getting 12v to the bulbs AND make sure you are getting a good ground. start there then see where you are at. it might be something as simple as your fog light switch being bad...or a host of...

well, it aint the front hub bearings or anything in the brakes...replaced em all just a lil bit ago. i cant see anything rubbing so im wondering if maybe a bearing in the rear end or maybe even a worn trans/or trans case mount causing the noise...im stumped!
