Same thing happened to me about a year and a half ago. I'm beyond my warranty so no free fix for me. I stretched the other side out and that one has stayed on so far. I really want the rear defroster working again!
73shark - is the "defroster grip repair kit which uses conductive epoxy"...
Go with one from the dealership/GM. I've had buddies that complained of other company's bug deflectors vibrating a lot because it wasn't the right fit. I got mine from my dearlership and have had no issues at all. No drilling required. It uses pre-drilled holes under your hood. I put it on my self.
Finally I put my Quicklift and new Tires, Procomp Xtreme A/Ts 305/55/R20s, on my 07 Tahoe. I really like the look and the ride. I had to do some minor trimming on both the front and rear inner wheel-well liners and some minor trimming up front on the sheet metal. Nothing to major though. I'm...
Yeah, I don't mind the sagging, I just don't want the rear-end to sag lower than the front when I'm driving/towing. So then the rear spacers would prevent that. Thanks!
The Rancho Quick List system looks pretty sweet. I checked the Rancho website but couldn't find an installation guide. Any update on the installation? I'm curious to know how well it went and if you are satisfied with it.
Thanks!

...Also, will installing the leveling kit impact the drive shaft angle? I had a block lift kit (under leaf springs) in my 89' full size blazer and it initially blew threw 2 rear ends and countless u-joints. Would I expect the same thing down the road with a my...
Will installing a front end leveling kit (1-2" increase) impact my towing capability or performance in my 2007 LT Tahoe? I'd like to keep my factory 20" rims and just put on some meatier tires.
So I've talked with my dealership about this I'm past my warranty coverage (3yr or 36k miles), I have about 44k miles on my 07 Tahoe. Of course they are "highly recommending" that I replace the entire back window and they are insisting that simply re-soldering will not fix the problem.
Is...
Same thing here. My 07 Tahoe with 39,000 miles had the defroster cable snap off at the solder joint as well. My dealership service department was giving me the run around about fixing it saying that the repair kit is no good, that re-soldering it wouldnt work, and that I would have to buy a...
Thanks everyone! It's getting to the point where the vibration is really noticeable, especially when braking at highway speeds. Looks like I'm gonna go with some sort of aftermarket swap.
