Well: I got E-mailed a response to this thread, so I thought I'd update it.
I used http://www.o-nex.com for my HID upconversion, and it worked out great. I did in fact completely modify the base of the HID lamps as I mentioned in my earlier post. Here's a picture of what I did:
This is...
Have a look at Husky Liners. I just had delivered a rear rubber cargo mat (there is an option for 3rd row seating, which I took to mean cutouts for the rear seat tracks - though I'll find out when I unpack the box). I also ordered the matching front and rear seat rubber mats...
We get about 20% of our oil from the Middle East - but ME instability ruins the oil market, and affects our prices badly, even if we didn't buy a barrel from the ME. That's why we need utter independence.
I think what some are saying in response to this is that with the new technology of AFM, the engine itself has to be running in a lower friction state, which isn't possible when new, and tight. You'll likely see more AFM kicking in once the engine rids itself of the internal friction that...
Demand raises prices, not lowers them. Supply lowers prices.
We sit on some of the largest deposits of oil on this earth, and we're hamstrung from going to get them. Oil Shale in Colorado, oil in ANWR, and the Gulf would supply us totally independently of the ME if libs would simply get out...
I think there needs to be a grass-roots movement starting which does away with ethanol-based fuels. Not only are they not cheaper, they're far less efficient than GOG (Good 'Ol Gas!). I hate the stuff - and the market for crops hasn't adjusted enough to stop feed prices (and just about...
Okay - one more thing I'm thinking about: I'm not so sure that the DRL circuit on the '07 Yukon isn't simply the low beams running constantly. I think it might be - in which case, anyone running an HID conversion kit will be running their HIDs a whole lot more than they'd otherwise choose to.
Huh. Odd. Well, I'll just try to post the direct link:

Odd: URL fubaring. Copy and paste this:

Strange. A direct click on the second link...
Okay: I've confirmed a couple of things:
1) 35w HIDs will not damage where 55w Halogens are installed. Less heat - always.
2) The 880 bulb from 2006 will not work. The bulb base is wholly different. This PS24WFF bulb is a totally different animal.
Here is a link to a guy irritated...
Thanks for diggin, gm_geek. I thought that because the HID uses less wattage, less heat is expelled. Isn't that true across the board? Does someone have any data showing what heat is emitted by HID vs. conventional halogen bulbs?
TIA
Well: I'm getting discrepancies on what the foglight bulbs are on a 2007 Yukon. When you take apart the foglamp assembly, the bulb itself has this printed on it:
PS24WFF
A731CD
This particular bulb has no HID foglamp equivalent that I've found so far.
The Hi/Lo circuits are one bulb...
I've been looking for an HID kit for my '07 Yukon, but without luck. I do not want to go with the entire assembly (which needs to be bolted on with brackets), but with a 'just the bulb' replacement kit.
Anyone heard of one?
You could also dismount your spare, use zipties to secure all 4 pressure sensors on the rim in some way, and then remount the tire with pressure. That should keep the system quiet as well. :D
