    Passlock bypass options

Thx Lester, the Tahoe had an aftermarket remote start installed by some previous owner. No start issues since that event.

    Passlock bypass options

For the last couple of years my 2000OBS would occasionally crank, fire, die. Let it sit for a while and it would start. A couple of days ago it did it again and happened to notice that with the ignition switch "On", the security light would flash. Looked in the manual and it said that Passlock...

    Tahoe Starts and Dies

Forgot to update. Found the ground wire for the fuel pump which is located forward of the left rear tire and inboard on the frame, was severely corroded. Removed, cleaned terminal and frame with steel brush a month and a half ago, no problems since.

    Tahoe Starts and Dies

Replaced the filter at the same time as the pump. Also, no codes. I checked fuel pressure yesterday, 60psi. I was thinking it might be the fuel pressure regulator, but not sure that would cause an intermittent problem. Think I will clean the IAC this weekend. A couple of years ago i replaced the...

Did replace the connector, it was different from the original. The pump does run when the key is turned for about 2sec. Also, no trouble codes have popped. Thx

    Tahoe Starts and Dies

2000 Z71 OBS, 5.7L. About six months ago I installed a new OEM fuel pump. About two months ago I got in the truck, engine cold, turned the key, engine would try to start, then die. Tried this multiple times, finally it started and have not had any start issues until yesterday. Drove to the...

    Clunk in rear end

Old thread, but great info. Had the clunk, thought the rear end was going out. Pulled the driveshaft and lubed the crap out of it, clunk all gone! Love this forum

    Fuel Pump

Thanks, I'm a little late getting back into this issue, been very busy. Pressure is about 58psi. Assuming the Delphi pump I installed about 9 months ago is still good, it seems that if the problem was in fuel pressure regulator, each start would take the same amount of extended time, but it...

    Fuel Pump

    Fuel Pump

I have a 5.7l, and according to my book, the fuel pressure regulator is under the upper intake manifold, so I will have to pull it. Does this sound right? Thx

    Fuel Pump

Thx Samotahoe. Pump was a complete assembly including qty sender. Even if the check valve is faulty, shouldn't I hear the pump run when I turn the ignition switch on? Thx

    Fuel Pump

I have a 2000 Z71, 5.7. About 4 months ago I had to replace the fuel pump. Worked great until a month ago, now when I turn the ignition on, I can't hear the pump run and the first start of the day takes a little longer than usual. All starts after that are normal, pump still doesn't come on, but...
