I am not positive but I believe it is only USB ports that remain hot. I think that is what I read in my parents new Silverado manual (same setup). I don't have access to it to check. I hope this helps your search for the answer.

I would check with your local dealership on this issue. They had a recall on the gauge clusters in 2003 and 2004 models due to diffective clusters. I don't remmember how long they were honering this recall but making a phone call never hurts.

I would try a new dealership. They should be able to get it pretty easy because the players were a high theft item when they first came out. Several of my old neighbors had them stollen and never had a problem with the dealership finding them.

The sensor has a fan in it that pulls the air over the sensor if this has stoped working it could cause it. If you have the tri zone climate control you can test this out by trying the back controls and see how they regulate the temp because it is a seperate sensor from the front farther back on...

The fuel preassure regulator could be bad that is a come part that fails it is on you fuel rail. Don't forget to always check you battery terminals and cables are in could shape and not loose. The computers get mad if they don't have the correct voltage and can make everything seem like it is bad.

I would also look into factory options if you have these concerns. You can buy 20 and 22's from gm dealers as add on accesories and they will make sure everything is a perfect fit. I went with 20 and love them no issues. The 20 are due to my curb rubbing habit other wise they would have been...

If you are looking at this mod look at what came stock on the vehicle alot of the tahoes and yukons came with a locking dif which is better than a limited slip.

Also look at the kit and if they are asking you to use 29lb injectors the flex fuel vehicles already have these so you would not need new ones.

Make sure that you check the kits closely. There is three suspension systems they put on the yukons and four for the tahoes. The delco crap, the premium ride which I believe Showa makes, the Autoride system and of course the Z71 package which changes alot of the suspension parts.

The bose audio was not offered until 2003 when the interiors were changed. They will not be interchangeable because the deck on the bose is a Delco product that bose tweeks so it is GM based so the Audi changer wont work. I do believe that you can get a changer from an old Cadillac that would...

The thermostat trick does have an effect but it will also cause a rough idle and usually is not worth the difference that you will feel.

This may not be the issue but I had the problem of a loose battery cable. If you have a short or lose of power to the computer it doesnt turn over correctly. If it is this issue you may feel a slight mis fire of the engine as well.
