It depends. Generally, you will get better performance and gas mileage with higher octane depending on how you drive. If you know what your mileage is when you use 87 octane, then switch to using 89 octane for awhile and then calculate your mileage. 89 is usually 10 cents more per gallon or...

Possibly solved So far, so good. It's been several days now, and we've driven about 400 miles towing our trailer.

We got the flasher unit replaced today and so far so good. This flasher unit is not like yesterday's simple little units in a couple of ways: its $70 and there are a bunch of wires connected to it. So yeah, there could have been a short circuit in there. We'll see.

Got leaks? If you get a dry day and can get the floor dried out, run a hose around the windshield. If the floor stays dry, run the hose on the other possible leaky places one by one until you find the culprit. It's also possible that the leak is in air vent, the floor or the lower firewall.

Got a problem with the turn signals on our '03 Tahoe. Sometimes the turn signals work fine. But about half of the time when we signal for a right turn both sides blink, just like the emergency flasher. Also, when we connect our trailer (standard 7 pin) everything works fine, sometimes. But...
