The Road Wonderer (a steering issue)

Anyone else experiancing the road wondering issue with either a stock or lifted Tahoe? I have replace everything on the front end, everything. The alignment was recently check and still the vehicle wonders left to right and puts up a big fight when it finds those road ruts. When the Tahoe was...

    Lift Questions!

:iagree: Definitely spend the extra bucks for a 6inch kit, you will like it sooooo much better. If you did decide to crank in your torsion bars, the insides of your front tires will wear out extremely fast due to the camber being out of whack. The axle half shafts would also bug out on you...

    4-5" rear leaf springs?

Anyone know where I can buy 4 -5" rear leaf springs? I have 4 inch blocks on the rear axle and they are causing some serious axle wrap and it feels like my hind-end has some side to side motion in it. Any advise?

    ????wtf????

I have 4 inch blocks on the rear and it too sways side to side. I was told that it was due to worn out leaf spring bushings and lift blocks. So now it's time to fix the lift with new 4inch springs, no more blocks which create serious axle wrap. I hope this works! Any advise anyone?

    blown motor

The motor in my '99 blew while towing my boat home on a vacation last summer. It ran fine, then a ticking noise developed about 60 miles from home. Ten miles later....BOOM! Big cloud of with smoke, followed instantly by a heart attack, and then a few choice words on the side of the road. A...

    4L60E

Though fuel prices are high, I would still say Diesel. Here's why: My '99 Tahoe has an 8" lift, 35" tires and 4.56 gears just to move it down the road. Towing my 5,000lbs boat is OK but not great. I am very easy on it when I drive and the truck only gets 12-13MPG. A friend of mine has a...

    4.56 gear on 99 tahoe

I installed 4.56 gears on my '99 Tahoe to turn my 35" Mickey T's. The Tahoe is excellent offroad now. Driving down the highway is a different story. As 95Twintt stated: 1,830 rpm @ 60 in OD is right on the money. And speaking of money, it takes alot of it now to move this beast up and down...

    Hypertech performance programer

Hypertech programer I bought one just to recalibrate my speedo since I changed my gear ratio and tire size. I haven't felt any power gains but who could with 35's. I do like the shift firmness in the tranny and the ability to read the Diagnostic Trouble Codes. So I give it a thumbs...

    Lift kits

99 Tahoe Lift Here's my '99 with a 6" RCD suspension and a 2" body lift sitting on 35" Toyos. If you are planning on lifting your ride, I would highly recommend the Procomp 6" lift. That lift maintains your factory stance and will not stick your front wheels two inches like the rest of them...

    37"TRxus

Gonna need lots of lift to run 37"s In order to clear 35"s, I installed a 6" RCD suspension lift and a 2" body lift. There is plenty of room for the tires to breath and manouver without rubbing, even on harsh terrain.
