    Finally Wheels!!!

Matt's computer is currently down so ill answer for him since we're buds. The front rides kinda rough and we're thinking about swapping out the control arms for just spindles in hopes of a better ride. Plus the control arms left a sour taste in our mouths as we were not told we'd have to a...

5" Rear Spring Drop Guys..Is your ride Bouncy??

Yeah you don't technically need to replace your rear sway bar links with the shorter DJM ones that come in the kit, you can use the stock ones with no modifications. The rear sway will be angled weird but at least it still works like normal. DJM sends you some shorter links to try to correct the...

    diff fluid question

Well here's what a G80 looks like if you've never seen one. These I took when I worked for Chebby. Aaaaand here's what they look like when they've been abused LOL. This one exploded and shot chunks through the cover and drove on it with no fluid until his rear wheels locked.

    diff fluid question

I couldn't have said it any better Razincayne, you musta done your homework lol. But again i gotta point out there are clutch packs (friction discs) inside a G80 just not designed like a standard posi. But additive is not needed becuase the clutch packs are not engaged until the locker is...

    WOT is good for engine?

Yup you could do that. Just find the nicest cheap 4 banger fox coupe you can find and yank the motor and slide in your weapon of choice. You could do this entire project for under 5 grand if you do it yourself.

    WOT is good for engine?

I can understand what you mean about it, my friend had a 90 Reg Cab with a chip, underdrive pulleys, K&N snorkel and a shift kit lowered on 17s and that bich was pretty quick. He now drives a 98 2 door tahoe and used to tell me how much quicker his old truck felt, im like "impossible".

    WOT is good for engine?

 I know right? I think alot of former Fox guys also have bought GM Fullsizers because we all knew if it wasn't a Lightning then Ford really had no decently quick fullsize and some of us fatasses (like me) will not fit in a Reg Cab Lightning lol. Aaaand actually i did own a MINT condition...

    WOT is good for engine?

You used to "spank" 5.0s with your 89 TBI silverado? I find this verrrry hard to beleive. TBIs are pigs even up to 95 they are slow. What 5.0s did you use to spank, the pre EFI ones from 86 and back? That i'd beleive. No seriously though, without getting into the big mustang/camaro arguement...

    tahoe motor

There is actually a truck salvage yard in Hayward, CA that has dozens of these layin around for sale. I think for lower mileage engines they want about 1300 and comes with a warranty. I almost got one for a customer but they ended up deciding they wanted a replacement GM Goodwrench motor...

    diff fluid question

I've gotta agree on the foaming, that is possilble. This is why you need to A) not over fill it, GM recommend filling till about a fingertip is between the fill plug and fluid level, not all the way up until it pours out and B) only use synthetic gear oil since it has less chances of foamin as...

    WOT is good for engine?

Ummmm i know it aint cheap lol. You basically gotta pull the motor out from underneath to do all that work. My boy works at a Chebby/Caddy dealer and it seems like thats all he does every time i call him. I know he has a Olds Aurora with a "baby Northstar" 4.2L and says he's gotta do his...

    diff fluid question

Umm I don't remember us ever using limited slip additive to the diffs. If your talkin about the G80s then those are not limited slips, they're a locker style diff with small limited slip action but i don't think they need the additive. At least we never used it when i worked for Chebby. We just...
