got a 2008 Tahoe LT1 with the 8 speaker premium system (non-Bose). I am wondering how many channels the factory setup is. I assume is a simple 4 channel with the front LR tweeters in the A pillars that play the same as the rear LR in the D pillars and the front LR door speakers play the same...

Can I retain the factory XM receiver when installing a DNX-8120? If so, what connections/cables/equip do I need? I assume that the factory receiver cable does not go through the BCM connections and is stand-alone behind the dash. Is this the case?
