Yah, I own a body shop and we have definately seen a drop. People are cashing the insurance $ and not fixing their cars. Cant count how many cars I see in the store parking lots with damage on them :(
GM made two types of speakers that year. With enhansed and without. My database shows $76.77 w/enhansed and $60.40 w/o from the factory. Be sure to tell the wrecking yard witch one you have. Knowing how much they are from a dealer will give you an idea if the wrecking yard is trying to screw...
Mine went out in my 97 Chevy pickup in a rain storm coming back from the mountains. That was a fun trip. I replaced the module the next day. Not one problem after that. There wasnt a recall on it when it happend to me. :mad2:
Yah, I know. I'm going to build a pod for a 4x6 that faces forward, not down. With the shallower width of the 4x6 I should be able to have something that does not stick down as far. Thats my plan anyway.
That is a great idea!! Great job. I like more of the factory integrated interior look so I think I am going to make some for the Infinity 4x6 plates pictured. Should be able to get them much closer to the headliner than the 6.5" speakers. Thanks for the idea and again, great job.
I think I read that wrong. Now that I read it again it looks like you purchased an OEM handle and it was thicker than the one that was on the truck. My bad. Sorry about that.
???? :confused2: OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Thats the same as "factory". If you purchase something not made by the original manufacturer than it is called an aftermarket part.
I think it could look really cool. I like smooth simple lines on my vehicles and if those are done right, they would look good. Sir Michaels also has the taillamp filler panels so you could do your own thing if you have the knowlege. You could also fabricate your own filler panels...if you...
#1- Yes. Try to find some at a wrecking yard because they are really, really expensive from the dealer. My estimating program says $360.ea for the rockers and right at $300 ea for the rear ones. That does not include the retainers. I think Street Scene makes some that look pretty close for...
Seat out of the Denalis and Escalades will fit in your Tahoe. I installed the Escalade seats in mine and they are quite nice. You should be able to find some at a wrecking yard.
