here is a link to vortech's supercharger kit for the 07-08 tahoe for comparison....

i think that the vortech looks a lot nicer. note that the air filter is in its stock location. and i also see that vortech includes larger fuel injectors...
oh wow, i didnt notice that you were located in norway.
that is a cool build your doing. what are the specs on the LS1 shortblock? im assuming it isn't a stock bottom end...
Jeremy
do you mean that you add a inline fuel pump to help the stock intank pump? or did you mean that you install a intank pump and an inline pump?
one 255lph intank pump and 42lb injectors should be able to do the job with that HP level.
vortech just uses an inline pump to help the stock intank...
sorry, i didnt catch that the dyno was being tuned up. the tailpipe sniffer would be the only way to monitor without having a WB sensor on the vehicle. watching the fuel trim with the NB isnt gonna give much info.
i understand that he needs to run premium fuel. but he did mention in an...
i dont get into to many street races, but every once in a while a randy vette owner feels like "putting an old camaro in its place". i think it's more priceless to get up and walk away from a new vette in a "sleeper" 96 SS camaro with a silent vortech blower....
then at the next light...
i know i already mentioned this but i wanted to directly comment to hype143.
you may want to look into meth or alky injection to both gain HP and to make it more safe to run boost.
this will further cool your intake charge (it will dramatically drop your intake temps) and the methanol will...
okay, since ive been reading this thread for about an hour, i'll chim in here.
questions first:
was the maf located on the pressure side (obviously not on the suction side)
can we see a pic of air dam that helps air flow through the IC? id like to see it.
so was there any timing...
ive got some tint and im gonna try to make the privacy glass darker. in CA we cant put film on the fronts.
ive done some windows in my house, hopefully i can do a good job on the car.
ive got 5% film from gila. is gila a decent brand?
well, i replaced that aluminum clamp because it didnt work very well. i put a silicone coupler on instead and i relocaded the MAF and that helped with the location of the filter.
now the filter sits just to the passenger side of the radiator. i removed the piece of rubber that blocked air...
yeah, it's a little short. i think i will add a 4" piece in there so that the filter will sit where the stock air box was and then build some kinda heat shield....
well, i needed a new air filter so i decided to just build my own intake system (basically because i was bored). i think it is a little "ricer", but my neighbor thinks it's cool.
any imput? positive or negative, i dont care...(lots of hand prints on the aluminum pipe, sorry).
oh, it...
i did this. it's easy. i got seats on ebay and the brackets (or "strikers") from my brother-in-law who is the service manager at the local GM dealership.
his cost on all the needed floor hardware (bolts and brackets) was $130. if you get a high price from a dealership, then get the...
will do. here is a pic from our first trip with the trailer. it doesnt look too squated because its not on level ground, and the load distributing hitch system helps out too.
the trailer is 25', 4400lbs dry, and the tonge weight should be around 400lbs.
it pulls it okay, but im thinking...
nevermind, i found what i need.
and for anyone else who has the same issue, i found these to keep the rear end from squating while towing my trailer...
id like to put some airshocks on the rear now that im towing a travel trailer. the squat isnt too excessive but id like the rear to be a little stiffer and have a more level ride. if i still had my stock springs id just throw them in when i pull the trailer, but i tossed those when i put my...
