Right now I have two problems that have stumped my mechanic.
#1 The fuel gauge needle vibrates rapidly whenever engine is running.
#2 The dome/interior lights started coming on when the brake pedal was
depressed. Now they stay on full-time unless the "dome override"...
I've been noticing that my gas gauge needle is rapidly fluttering back and forth - almost a blur. Since I was having a new fuel pump put in anyway, I thought they could run down the problem. Didn't happen! Still doing it.
Now, in addition, the dome/interior lights have come on and stay on...
Need advice on how to cure this problem. When you take off from a dead stop, there's a rather loud clunking noise coming from the area of the driveshaft/rearend. My mechanics fix was originally to fill the yoke with grease. This worked for about a month and then the problem came back...
