The truck may eat that oil like hell. Tried it on my 94 Blazer years ago, ate about 2 quarts per thousand miles. The old man knows a thing or two about oil systems, said the Royal Purple was so pure it slipped through gaskets and seals. I was using a lower weight+viscosity though so who knows.
I don't want to alter the way she runs and the $130 to replace it would be better spent on new tires :whymewhyme:. Buddy of mine recommended having the machine shop nearby build a hydraulic line with matching fittings to bypass the cooler altogether, it's not like I use it for towing or plowing...
Thanks!
Needs new tires and some body work (hard to spot the rust but it's there) but it's only at 110k miles, runs like new, and came from an extremely knowledgeable and loving owner. The information envelope they handed me even had the window sticker in it :happy175:
Just a few for now. It's raining and the semi's have begun their daily damage on our residential road lol.
And don't mind the yellow pinstripes on the bottom trim, they're coming off soon along with those weird stick-ons behind the doors lol. Haven't gotten around to taking them off yet.
Hey everyone, new to the forums.
Bought a 95 Tahoe 2 Door TD not long ago. Long story short it runs like new and the mechanic that I had check it out was impressed to say the least. One thing bothers me though, at varying speeds and RPM's the turbo gives off this ear-piercing squelching noise...
Hey how's everyone doin. Figured this would be a good place to be if I ever need help or can offer any. Did my early driving years in a 94 Blazer, had to give it up for income reasons a couple years ago so I recently went out and rescued a 95 Tahoe.
